Hello all,
I apologize if I am not posting this in the correct area, but I have some questions regarding playing this game.
To start, I have an old (thick) blue DS that I think would handle this game, but I have never used a flashcart before, and I am a bit hesitant to purchase one and a microsd card and an adapter if the game does not run well. I have tried emulating LovePlus on both DesmuMe and no$gba, but the audio and visual lag render the game essentially unplayable. What I am wondering is, for those of you who have played this game on their DS consoles via a flashcart, is the lag removed? Does the mic function as it should in the Loveplus mode? Are there any other issues that come with this game that I should consider before buying the needed gear and playing it? I already have access to the English-patched ROM and plan on buying a R4i SDHC 3DS RTS 2014 plus Kingston 2GB microsd card and a USB-microsd adapter, is there anything else you all would recommend?
Thanks in advance for any responses, all help is appreciated!

Wait, by 'thick blue DS' so you mean the old generation? I'm not sure the game or the flash card will work if you mean this: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Nintendo-DS-Fat-Blue.jpgHope someone can verify this for you if that is the case, Now as far as the lag goes this only happens on the simulator, the (translated) rom of the game transported into a flash card and played on the correct device will act almost the same as if it was the original cart.

Unfortunately, that does look quite a bit like my old DS. I don't want to risk bricking my 3DS for this game, so hopefully I can hear from someone that will be able to attest to it working on the older generation DS... Glad to hear that the lag will be gone with the use of a flash cart. Hopefully R4i SDHC 3DS RTS 2014 will work for my DS, otherwise I might have to buy a DSi or look for my brother's old slim model. Thanks for the response, .:[R]Plus:.! I was beginning to worry that no one would respond to this post. Now I just hope someone can attest to flashcarts working on the old DS models!!

I know flashcarts work in the old NDS, I played the first game that way. I don't know if that particular kind of flashcart will work on it, though. I played using an R4 flashcart.

Yeah, you know, I don't think I'll need an R4 2014 3DS whatever-the-hell-I-posted for my simple DS Phat... Thanks for the info, na00! I guess I'll just look around the web for a reputable site to get an R4 card from for now.
