Hi. Sorry, I tried posting this in the questions topic, but I'm not sure if people still check that, so I'm creating a new thread for it, hope it's not a problem.
My question is: what happened to the alarm clock in the Love Plus mode?? I remember in the DS version you could set the alarm, then close your DS and it would beep at the specified time, then you could open the DS and the girl would talk to you. But now, if i set the alarm and close my 3DS, absolutely nothing happens with the 3DS closed. Is there a problem with my 3DS or it just doesnt beep anymore? What's the point in having an alarm clock then?

Did the alarm really worked even with the console closed? I thought it had to be opened to work.

Yes it did...in the first Love Plus for the DS, it would make a beep sound just like an alarm clock, and then when you opened the console, the girl would come and talk to you. Unless my DS had a problem and thought it was always opened, even when it was closed... But from this I'm guessing this is not supposed to happen, at least not on the 3DS....*sad*

just let your 3DS lay on its charging cradle while open..I don't close the lid since the beep is not that loud..heck Nene's angry voice(after several fail wake-up calls) is louder than the beep..not to mention Rinko..
what bugs me is that everytime I tried changing the alarm time, it shows the actual time instead of the time I set it to alarm....
well I've been using the alarm for months now or I think half a year already without turning my 3DS off and luckily my unit isn't having any problems..I just love being waked up by Nene..

haha but wait, your 3DS beeps if you leave the lid closed? Cause mine doesnt... And good to know you can leave it open without problems... But what about when you want to sleep and the girl keeps sleep-talking, or decides to go read a magazine? I tried sleeping with the lid open but then Rinko starts making noises and I cant sleep, ughhh

Don't know for 1.2 but in earlier versions the game/3DS did not go into sleep mode when closing the lid in Love Plus Mode - only the display and sound was turned off, the power LED was not pulsating either. Really a drain on the battery, to the point of the 3DS going out of energy and the girls complaining... that's when I noticed it So it sounds reasonable to me for the alarm going off with the lid closed.

minko that's the fun of it..they sleep talk like real humans do..if you have problems where she says the time, just go to the option on the lower right of LPM and try turning the selections off one at a time, there's an option there that will prevent them from saying the time every hr..also if you happen to have the "sleep together" option (That's what I call it), you can use it to make her sleep with minimal scripts..the alarm will revert it back to normal sleep mode afterwards... na00 you can turn the BGM off if in the cellphone menu or game menu..that's what I did to remove that bgm.. @morisatok use the 3DS charging cradle to avoid loosing battery..the cradle also regulates the power turning it to minimal charge when full so that even if you sleep and left the 3DS open, it'll just recharge on its own without using maximum power...the cradle auto off and auto on depending on the unit's battery status..you'll see the 3DS light is blue without the orange lit but if you went to your console menu, the battery icon on the upper right is orange which means that it's auto recharging..

Ummm, the craddle doesn't do that, the console does. It's exactly the same if you connect the power cord without using the craddle.

I know that. But that's not really an option if I use my portable device to actually... go outside Since the battery died on me I just exit LPM to the phone menu, the 3DS goes into sleep mode properly there. Alas, that's not the topic here
