I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before, i wanted to let you guys know that you can successfully play 'Love Plus Plus' in a flash card if you transfer an old save slot there cause otherwise as you might have read the rom has a hack lock and won't let you play a new file successfully in your flash card(you'll never get a girlfriend and after the 100 days you'll fail)..but i was able to successfully transfer a save file from my original LP+ game card(you can also transfer your save slots from LP or other form) to my r4i LP+ by using two devices connected together and now my LP+ on my r4i has my save slots and everything seemed to function normally with no restrictions..it was a real hassle to have to change game cards all the time so now I'm happy that i finally have LP(ENG patched), LP+ and the rest of my 200 games all in one game card to travel with...XDXD

I had no problems playing LP+ from scratch with my flashcard (Supercard DSTWO iirc). Just make sure the flashcard has an up-to-date firmware. Newer firmwares circumvent this copy protection.
Alternatively there are patches for the ROM floating around in the internet.

so could this "hack lock" be just a rumor some players that were unable to comprehend the game started?
"patches"? as in to break the lock or a partial ENG patch type?

No the "hack lock" is fact. It's the games copy protection to prevent playing ROMs in emulators or flashcards. Depending on the flashcard and firmware version of it it's possible to circumvent that protection (don't ask me how they do it, I don't know ). That's pretty much normal: a new game comes out, it can't be played on flashcards, after a while there may be a firmware update for the flashcard and the game becomes playable. As for the patch, it has nothing to do with an English patch, except for the way it's applied (patch file + ROM > magic > no copy protection). I'm not sure but I think I even stumbled over some kind of Action Replay code in a 2ch message board to circumvent this protection. My guess would be that flashcards are able to do on the fly what the patch does permanently to the ROM or the AR code.
