so they`re prioritizing to patch the transfer procedure from old games but still no words on patching the main games.. i know both are important but still they should prioritizing to patch the main game BEFORE correcting the bug on the transfer from the old games..
it`s kinda pointless when they fix the transfer but leave the main game crippled by bugs...

they're prioritizing what people experience with first contact which also causes all the bad commotion and popularity drop (that made the game to go from n#1 to down, down in just the first week of release) and that is the bugs that appear right after the data transfer..they assume if they fix those quickly then they have a little more time before their customers start experiencing the rest of the bugs that are hidden deeper within' the game.. not to mention the amount of tiiiiiiiime all the rest of the bugs need to be fixed...if all they did within these 2 months is fix 3 things then..by all means it's gonna be like 2014 before we have something satisfyingly updated in our hands..well not 2014 but i'd say atleast 4-6 months to a year...

Haha.. i wonder how much they pay their programmer to create this game..
There`s one question tingling in my mind, are there are the same team who create tokimemo 2? it was one of the best dating sim on history, hands down.. and not a single fatal bug exist on these game.. and when they transition to 3D on tokimemo 3 they did it with smooth, and again no fatal bug encontered..
Of course they maybe "old-gen", maybe the calculation etc aren`t as sophisticathed like NLP, but the point is clear, they do their homework better.. everyone who play tokimemo 2 will know how deep the game was, even though it`s no as very personal as LP/NLP.. but you can imagine how much effort they do when testing and bug tracking 15 girls scenario with their own traits and challenges..
Big THUMBS-UP for the tokimemo 2 team ^^b Big TUMBS-DOWN for the NLP team -_-p### (until they can solve all the irritating and fatal bugs..)

i wonder how much they pay their test team! even if the programmers messed with everything, how couldn't they realize all those bugs before releasing the game?

If they just pay celebrities to play particular parts or interactions, then never. But if they throw their money in the water they can still hear a sound.

I wondered this myself too. Those bugs are so damn obvious that it's really hard to overlook them if there is any QA applied at all.
My best guess would be that they found this release date (Valentines Day) too tempting to let it slip after being postponed before. Hail the marketing - those crazy otaku will buy the game anyway. At that moment though the game probably was merely entering QA phase (if at all). So the game went into final production while they still were developing / QA / fixing. And they still do that while we wait for the patch / revision …

MorisatoK i agree, it feels like they weren't half done the first time they had to postponed the game and they still weren't done when they decided to 'finally' let it be released to the public even though they probably knew they'd have to heavily patch it later(the problems are so obvious!unless they didn't test it at all) but it feels they just couldn't resist the marketing with the day being Valentine's day and all.
LP and LP+ did have some "adorable" bugs but they were nothing as close to the ones on NLP and personally i think NLP will never be bugs free cause of the complexity.. you can't expect a game that is based on multiple random combinations not to produce problems and then well to keep updating an already unstable product with more and more stuff and have faith that there won't be a tiny code(just off by a single letter or a single number) missing or messed up that will throw the rest of the game out the window?..
I do believe we somehow are their test beta team and I hope Japanese people will address to them with each and every little problem they will come across so they can take notes and acknowledge every each one...cause as far as they're concerned if nobody complains about something messy then there isn't anything wrong with it!!!..(if you notice they fixed the stuff that a lot of people complaint about but nothing from the stuff we've come across and how can we have blind faith that they will somehow notice and fix them too?..)

Reading their latest announcement, maybe there`s slight of hope.. they noted that the patch for the love plus tools is developed at the same time with the patch for the main game, but we still have to wait for it..

yeah i watched it from start to finish, there`s just 2 things shibata mentioned: first that new love plus will get a patch and that you should wait for the announcement from konami. If the new update for 3ds wiil be available at april 25th then the patch for nlp should be following soon after that, except they cancel it again..

At long last... finally konami anounced that they will begin to mass-patching new love plus (or should i say, new bug plus?), the first batch of the patch will be available on mid- June, 2 month from now, and the second batch of patch will be available starting from august to september...
The first batch of the patch (that arriving on mid-june) will be patching these things:
- skinship wtih the girl, and various communication method with her (phone, mail, etc) ( agree this one is really screwed and need first priority)
- imroving the touching system ( that really sucks at this time.. and yes this is also number one priority as this is what sets the virtual girl apart with us mere human...)
- automatically implementing any improvement on the love plus tools to the new love plus (for me this is not important `cause i`m not importing my lp/lpp game saves to nlp.. for me it`s better if konami prioritize to fix shedule bug first)
- etc..
The second batch of the patch (that started mid-august to early september) will be patching these thing:
- some (limited) improvement on speed (the system is real slow right now, and they cant guarantee a general improvement of overall system speed) => not good choice of word, but if they really can deliver this, i`ll aprreciate it..
-improvement on todo events (not that important to me, but i think many people are offended by todo bugs, so they choose to focus on this)
- improvement on schedule input method (yeah they're really buggy and annoying, the schedule chart have big impact on activity fo the user and the girl, it should be on the first batch improvement..)
- etc...
well, they apologize and apologize and apologize, repeat ad infinitum because of their rushed product and slow problem-solving.. i dont know at what state new love plus popularity right now in japan, but i guess at the bottom of the pit..
Konami just lucky they dont have rival product lauched at the times the NLP failing.. if they are, then the NLP fate has been sealed for good..
This patching is really a miraculous second chance for konami.. if they screw up this time, i dont think -even for the most ardent fan of LovePlus- will ever be looking at any of the konami offfering for love plus anymore...
on a second note, i notice some element is missing on the fixing list.. how about the un-intuitive kissing system? the kissing is slow, laggy and the girl response is strange, it`s really a big step down from lp/lpp where i enjoy this event much because of the easy to learn, fast and snappy response of the girl...
ah well, let we see how things folded first then...
