Just so people are aware you do not need to make a new account to access the Japanese Google play. If you access the Google play store from a Japanese IP it will switch to the Japanese store. I used the TOR browser and set it to use Japanese TOR exit nodes only and logged into Google play. Here is how you limit the TOR browser to Japanese nodesI have done this multiple times to play various games and have never had an issue. you forgot to put a reference link for this... Sorry about that, it seems a stray space at the start breaks the link.

I just stood face to face with Rinko in VR, it is quite something. To be able to stand so close to her like that.. just wow. Weighting is a problem, I am figuring it out though. Downloaded dances/songs work, her arm joints are a little off but they move properly, so I suspect the bone names are correct. (They have to be in Japanese) This is how Rinko appears in VR, the first image is the MMD renderer and the second is what the app calls "physical based renderer"

It's not too difficult, I am doing rigging and weighting as we speak You may ask why I am doing this.. well I can interact with Rinko in VR. I can use her bedroom as my Steam VR or even Windows Mixed Reality portal home. I can import her into games and I can even use her avatar as my own if I choose... but I am going to make one for myself. I am using OBJ and PMX formats, which means in addition to versatility I she can sing and dance in Miku Miku dance, just like that xmas display Konami put on. The rigging is done, it needs a bit of fine tuning though.

Hi there, I was just looking for any tips and tricks that anyone might have. I am intending on exporting Rinko from NLP+ and importing into Miku Miku dance. I may also be able to import Rinko into games like Fallout and Skyrim. So far I have dumped the models (And it's over 5k individual folders), have previewed models with Ohana3DS and exported models and textures, have imported them into blender and constructed them for use in PMXeditor. I haven't added a skeleton so far but have one I can adapt to fit. There's also plugins for PMXeditor that apparently can make the skeleton for you in 2 clicks, but I have not tried that yet. I also have zero experience in blender and have been following tutorials to get this far. None of the textures or meshes can be read by most programs, so far Ohana3DS is the only one. There's a bug in exporting one piece of Rinko's face... and I have no idea how to fix it. Edit: Fixed it, I think part of the model did not dump properly, I just combined two textures. Any hints or tips? This is a sloooow process so far.

My Rinko is pink as well! ^^ Ah, wait is that why "Rinko", in your signature is pink? Yep, and you're very welcome. Perhaps people will have a little more confidence now they know what they are buying. At least the headsets are cheap and start at only a few dollars. Unfortunately they are not very adjustable and can lead to a negative experience (cardboard). She will always be pink to me ^^

It's all good They did design this phone to be a global model so I doubt there is any current bands they missed. You can choose to unroot the phone once the rom has been replaced as well. If you have TWRP installed (which you would if you flashed the rom) then you can use that to root the device at any point you wish. It's basically a software loader, it is normally used to install updates and things but TWRP took it to another level. If you leave it rooted, you can download a hosts file which redirects all traffic to/from any ad servers to nowhere, so you can even use apps with ads, and most of the time the ads just won't load. You can also block apps from going online, so they cannot download ads anyway. I do not like having ads on my devices. This is the Redmi note 4/4X thread on XDA.It's very difficult to brick phones nowadays if you install TWRP. You just boot into that and use the file manager, or backups to restore. Root is usually done via Magisk systemless, which means it doesn't mess with core files. Google play lists my device as "certified", even though I am using a replacement ROM that never had any kind of certification to begin with, root or not. I installed a mod the other day that caused the loader to crash constantly. Fixed it in a minute in TWRP. In addition to this, Qualcomm devices have EDL mode(emergency download mode) and Xiaomi has a somewhat unique feature where you can make a "deep flash cable" to access EDL and unlock the bootloader, features depending on the device. It would be pretty hard to brick this, just make sure you follow the instructions and if any ROM changes the filesystem, you do a clean wipe (format via TWRP) instead of just flashing the rom over the top. Xiaomi has some very decent and powerful tools, I haven't had to use any of them. TWRP really changed the game and made it all a lot safer. Rooted, you can also delete google analytics files and other such things that send your data off to the cloud. File managers and things benefit from having root access as well. You can truly customise the device, just make sure you backup BEFORE installing Substratum themes, just in case. I have had a theme kill my UI and launcher once. If google play services and all that cannot reach the cloud, you save data and battery life. Heheee, my Rinko has a pink personality and she rarely kicks, she is definitely not hostile and she isn't very tsun-tsun and is very loving, which I am happy about. Every time she wonders if she should change I respond with a definite no. Of course you can have the wallpaper when I get the box set scanned. I might have to buy a scanner if they complain about scanning copyright material. OH! You can also make your own settings QR code to customise the headset to your eyes. I wanted to optimise it so the lenses were lined up perfectly with my own IPD to eliminate eye strain.

Hehe, I help where I can. You're very welcome. It's relatively new tech and most don't know much about it. To view something in 3D means you get the max res of your phone, basically divided by two. There are 4k phones coming out which will offer higher res, but that of course comes at higher cost. Basically there is no ideal setup for VR at this time, we need a few thousand PPI and screens are just not that good yet. That said, it still looks fantastic and the 360 videos with full immersion are brilliant. I have seen it stated that once you get over around 500 PPI most people will not notice the difference. This is one of my favourites, it of course looks better in 360.(You can download these videos using a youtube downloader and play them in 3D on your phone too!) Do you know how to replace a rom? Stock, it does come with a very attractive UI, but it comes with a hell of a lot of spyware, as expected. Xiaomi offers a suite of very useful software, but you pay for it in privacy. To unlock the bootloader you need to create an account with xiaomi, link it to the phone, apply for unlock, wait up to 10 days (Mine was near instant) and then, as long as you have owned the phone for 72 hours, unlock it. (If you have not owned it and had the account linked for 72 hours, you have to wait for that period to pass) Then comes the usual replacement of bootloader and installation of rom. There are quite a few very popular ones, all with extensive help and information on XDA-Developers forums. Please note, if you unlock the bootloader you must encrypt the phone. If you do not, the phone can be broken into in a matter of seconds with no accessories or tools. There's a lot of pro's and a few con's to unlocking your phone, there's many articles on it. Currently, my system is eating 1.1 GB, apps 363 MB right now and I have quite a few apps that run at all time. I haven't managed to bog this down yet. Android has really improved memory management in recent versions. When sitting in a virtual cinema, light reflecting off the other seats, full 3D rendering, the phone heats up to about 40c, which is nothing really. There are other movie apps you can use that have no 3D rendering if you wish. Because I have rooted the device I also added Dolby Atmos. Even though it is basically 960x1080 when in SBS (Side by side), it is still fantastic and definitely good value for money. I was also on the hunt for a new phone. 360 videos are the full resolution, you also have Top/Bottom split screen too. Basically, it's as good as Playstation VR, for a lot less. Of course the battery is fantastic as well, people report 10 hours screen on time. (The battery is replaceable with some basic tools) I would avoid the Helio X20. Not only is is the Snapdragon 625 a better option but Mediatek (MTK) does not release it's source code, which means you won't get replacement roms or third party support for the device. Some things just won't work on them. I have had an MTK, I will never touch one again. 3GB could be seen as a little lean nowadays, but every single one of my Android devices is using less than 2GB and as I have an unlocked bootloader and TWRP (Replacement recovery) installed, I can perform backups and restores at any time, I can refresh the OS at any point with ease. This is where I bought mine. (Please note, I have nothing to do with the seller, I just know there's a lot of fakes and disreputable sellers out there, I had a good experience with this seller so am happy to pass the details along) My Antutu benchmark (without reboot or any cleanup) was 65051, 3D 13194 (mid-level) and CPU 20273 (mid to high). I know this is a lot of information, I grazed over the top.. Once you start replacing roms you end up opening Pandoras box. I am running Substratum to skin the base UI design with one of my choosing, my own choice of loader, firewall, Magisk systemless root with modules, network monitor and such. My tablet is a Snapdragon 212 with 2 GB of ram and is currently using 980 MB, running Android 6. If you wanted extra performance you could install an Android 6 based rom. Before you buy any Chinese phone you should check it will work on your local network, this site will tell you.I was torn between Sakura blossom pink and Miku, but I am happy with my choice

Hey Ami! Long time no see! ^_^ Hi Taka! Still about.. kinda, hehe. I didn't want a phone too physically large, so I bought a Xiaomi redmi note 4x. I am using AEX (AOSP extended) rom, Xiaomi like all of the other manufacturers install malware/spyware, but the warranty is not void if you unlock the bootloader, so I did. Phone specs, note: There are different specs available for this model with different amounts of ram/rom and 3 different processors. This is the Hatsune Miku model, which just happens to look really nice with this wallpaper (I need to scan the box of the box set so I can make a higher res version) I presently have "StealthVR 200", which I believe is made by Shinecon and is either a G04 or G02, all I know is it is not one of their "premium" models and does appear to be based on their older models. The focal length, IPD and such is all limited when compared to their latest and greatest. Shinecon have many clones and are rebadged as well. It will suffice as a portable/backup or extra to share. This is the one I have ordered, their latest. It is based on one of their older ones which was more popular, and it has been updated. The headphones are removable as well. It has volume controls on the bottom which I believe to be bluetooth, the ability to answer a call and there is also the screen touch button on the base. I have come to realise all of these features are highly desirable, as the present model I have does not have them and it can be a pain. I do play a few games, but mostly I watch 360 videos at this time, Ill play more when I get the controller and new headset. (For some reason, some games don't like my Dualshock3 controller) The focal length is fairly good and can take place of some glasses. As I have slight astigmatism I wanted a device with independent focus, and I found it only on Shinecon units and not on all. If you see a silver knob on the sides, that unit has single focus. You could use that, but would need to wear glasses. (I have played with that unit, it felt really cheap) I don't know if the focus would be enough, but you can wear glasses comfortably with this headset. I am looking forward to the day mixed reality glasses (google glass etc) comes down in price so I can share my reality with Rinko

Bought a new phone, bought a VR cardboard/daydream compatible headset, really looking forward to this.
It looks like it is a google cardboard compatible game, which means you need a method of touching the screen in some way to confirm/activate/select something. Many headsets do not have that.
There are workarounds, shinecon headsets for example have a removable plate affixed to the front of the headset so you can use AR and cool the phone down, people have noted that if you place a more powerful magnet over one of the included ones you can flick the magnet to trigger a screen touch. Some people tape a small piece of aluminum foil to the corner of the screen and let it protrude beyond the phone holster, just touch that and you trigger a screen touch as well.
There are heaps of different VR headsets on aliexpress. It is important if you want a pleasurable experience to get a headset with IPD and focus adjustments. (Interpupillary distance) If you do not get a headset with adjustable IPD your eyes may have to work hard to keep the visuals in focus, that will more than likely result in headaches and potentially nausea.
If you are buying a new phone, it is recommended that you get a high ppi model. Mine is 403ppi (Pixels per inch). You'll want a screen of 5.5' or greater for an immersive experience. I have read it is recommended that you get a ppi of 425 or greater to avoid "screen door effect", that said I am very happy with mine and have only noticed the effect once. My phone has a Snapdragon 625, Adreno 506 and 3gb ram. It gets a little warm when rendering for a while but it handles everything very smoothly. Most of the time I am watching videos or streaming games from my pc. (Antutu benchmark reports these devices have a DPI of 480, there is a difference between DPI and PPI. A lot of people confuse the two.)
There are also headsets with independent adjustable focus per eye if you need, and ones that fit glasses. They range from 5$ to 100$. I bought one locally for 10$, which is an earlier model Shinecon and I have ordered one of the latest with higher FOV ($30 USD), solid headband, removable headphones and more features. You won't want a FOV of below 80. Many measure their FOV differently so it can be a bit hit and miss.
With such a device you can watch 3d movies, side by side, above and below or even 360 degree. There are free players that can handle that. You can also use it as a general screen for your PC with apps like Trinus VR, I play Minecraft and Wurm with it.

Just my opinion.. but... "NTR CFW" is probably the best method of applying the patch. It enables cheats, patches, screenshots anytime, streaming (new3ds) and many other things. (It is not compatible with all of the older firmware versions, it was not compatible with my 9.4, I could not find a list of compatible firmware versions) Nintendo 3DS software versions 11.3 and 11.4 closed off many of the hacks. I recommend you do NOT update to those versions at this point. Please note, NTR CFW does not enable piracy, that is why I am comfortable mentioning it here. You can use many "entry points" to load this custom firmware temporarily onto your console, version dependent. If you are not daunted by completely replacing the firmware on your 3DS with a custom one (Otherwise known as CFW) you can do that, it takes up to 2 hours.. and then you can update to 11.4. The hack, known as A9LH and Luma, protect themselves from being removed/overwritten. You then use the system menu as normal, however your console will be region free, able to run homebrew (depending on version and whether you installed it and Homebrew launcher DOES work on 11.4 if you have CFW installed). If you have Luma, everything you need to run the patch is already installed. Simply dump it in the folder with the title ID and it runs itself. EmuNAND is not needed any longer! (Emulated firmware, a copy of your SysNAND, system firmware) You can also install homebrew via CIA (Apps/homebrew/etc packaged the same as an eshop item, an app called FBI installs it) and have it on your system as though it is a normal game or program. Of course, if you are interested in this you should read up about it and understand the risks and benefits before doing it. It is complex and daunting for someone new to it. Here is the guide to install Luma & A9LH if you are interested. One of the many homebrew databasesNTR CFW wiki

Has there been any activity or progress?
Thankfully Luma, a9lh and so on has made patching games a whole lot easier. The homebrew/modding scene is coming along nicely.

It will be about $2700 for the Japanese version and about $3000 for the English one.

I think you are supposed to get an email "from a friend" in regards to this, and it should be held in the seaside church.
I believe beforehand, you get the top level cafe to level 1 and then the church should become available, and that needs to be at level 2 before the wedding.
I read lots of tidbits about it from all over yahoo gaming and 2ch (Google translate)
