List of homebrew exploits: 3dbrew.org/wiki/Homebrew_ExploitsBrowserhax webkit hacks DO work on the Japanese consoles as well. I have been playing Fantasy Life with this and regionthree. Edit: Another benefit of running homebrew is you can make things like this...

Sooo, to confirm, New Love Plus + works on a US/non-Japan 3DS with homebrew? I'm debating on whether or not to get it, so!

It does work as far as I have heard, via regionthree and regionfour, however you won't be able to patch it to access the eshop, which means you cannot get the tools to convert savegames. I know there's ways around that, but basically you would need to run gateway, on an old version of the sysnand, find a copy of the tools to download, update the emunand and such.. it would be complex. That goes into piracy so I am not going to discuss it here. Make sure you know what options you have before you buy the game. Please note, none of the following permits piracy natively.

Thank you very much for responding! I've got homebrew working on my 3DS, but it's on 10.3 and the browser hax or whatever works fine. Is there any reason It's suggested to go via OoT or Ninjahax instead of the browser for the newer version? (I have OoT so I can def just go that way, but now I'm curious.) As for the eshop, I remember reading on their page that they might look for a way around it, but I rarely use the eshop anyways so it isn't a big deal to me. Unless you mean I won't be able to save? Or are you refering to transfering an LL save to NLP+?

I've got homebrew working on my 3DS, but it's on 10.3 and the browser hax or whatever works fine. I'm currently playing NLP+ on my USD2DS and IronHax is essentially exactly the same with BrowserHax so it'll work just fine. The Homebrew Laucher is the best option, it's free and available to everyone, just do not update your console to a newer firmware or wait and always research online if a new update blocks the hax you are using before updating. if you want something more permanent I'm not sure how NinjHax/OoT3D work but I assume they let you swap the cart after the Hax is loaded? otherwise I'd prompt to check if it works on your firmware and then buy OoT3D digitally so your cart slot will be free and I also read that the SD card version gives you more space to have both Hax and a save file for the game (I think the physical OoT3D copy can only hold the Hax or a save file but not both) , you get a cool game and a Hax for the price of one, lol. you can inject the game's save data that will provide you with the OoT3D Hax entry through the installer that you can access through the BrowserHax. Both NLP and NLP+ games work but do not buy the cart for NLP, the game is uplayable without the patch and right now there is no way to access a different region's eShop. as for the save data transfer from a previous game you can only do that with a Japanese console and the LovePlus eShop tool. www.facebook.com/notes/new-love-plusnewラブプラス/newラブプラスsave-data-transfer/615382835204772there is an eShop entry available within the Hax that lets you surpass the firmware check but it doesn't work for everybody. (doesn't for me but maybe I didn't do all the steps correctly) there is also a spoof eShop entry that lets you download the early version of Ironfall before the game was patched to block the Hax so this might come in handy since the game is free but I'm not sure if you're suppose to have once at one point owned the first version and accidentally upgraded for this to work.(haven't looked much into this since I own the first version of the game)

Thank you for the very thorough answer! Reading the things that the both of you have said, I think I should be fine! (I'm really glad such nice people are on these boards, I always get nervous when asking questions, haha)

Very simply, primary hax are an "entry point", you can stay with browserhax or even regionthree. These hax give you an ability to load secondary hax.
Secondary hax can be run independently. I used browserhax to install homebrew launcher and themehax/menuhax. Now, all I do is hold L when turning the console on or loading the menu (after exiting a game) and it boots into homebrew launcher. Secondary hax do not require the net or "Go! Gateway" to load. (You can get an Android server to run that particular server for you)
Whatever you do, DO NOT leave your console connected to the net in standby mode or it will update.
Please note, Ironfall invasion is not available to Japanese consoles and you can not install Ninjhax from a US/EU/AU region Cubic Ninja on a JP console. I tried.

yeah my previous messages are outdated now, like Ami said all you need to do is find an entry to The Homebrew Laucher and install homeMenuHax/ThemeHax for a more permenant fix..

If you accidentally connect to the internet and the console downloads an update and is nagging you to install it (and you do not want to because it will mess up the hax), you can clear it by doing the following. - Completely power off your system.
- Boot in recovery mode (press L+R+A+↑+Power, hold the first four about 1 second, more won't hurt the system but only your fingers.
- It will ask you as usual to update. However, it will take a little longer for the screen to come up compared to the speed it would have had if you didn't already have an update.
- If you click yes, the update will be completely redownloaded then installed...
- If you click no, it will power off and you'll go home free!
