Okay, I have my LP, DSi, now only need the proper patch and flash card. I know about that loveplustrans site, but it has so many different versions of the English patch, especially more than last I saw, which leaves me feeling confused. I really do want to get just the right one, so can anybody help me again on this? Also, I wish to revisit the flash card question, partly on which is best, especially for a DSi, but then I need real step be step instructions on how to properly use the original cartridge, the flash card, and the patch (and my laptop if necessary), to get the English LP that everyone strives to achieve. Keep in mind that I have no knowledge of Nintendo since SNES.[/size] PS: Sorry if it seems like I'm just plain stupid.

I do not have a flash cart, I don't know what would work best with a DSi. Silly me also, I don't even know what one is. A link to the best one would help
I do have the original cartridge on me, of LovePlus. Sorry again if it seems like I'm having everyone here window-shopping for me.

Well…
A flashcart, is a device that is shaped like a standard DS cartridge, but with a slot for a Micro-SD card… It disguises itself as a game cartridge and then launches a menu instead of the game.
Basically, you put games/homebrew onto the MicroSD card, put that into the flashcart, and boot it like you would a standard cartridge.
(http://gbatemp.net has a lot of information on flashcarts, including where to buy them. Remember to read the rules, and search before posting…)
The best Flashcart, is the SuperCard DSTWO… which is about $50…
Once you have a flash cart, you can continue to the next step…

Good choice, I don't have one myself, but they are very nice flash carts…

Once you have a flash cart, you can continue to the next step… I just got the SuperCard DSTWO today, but I didn't see one of those smaller cards, which is apparently supposed to go into the card I have, so I went to Best Buy to purchase a PNY MicroSDHC card (32 GB), assuming I needed that too, correct me if I'm wrong so I can return it if I don't need it. So what's next?

Well, now that you have your DSTWO and your MicroSD card, you need to set up the DSTWO...
I'm not sure how exactly you do that...
The steps are shown on the Supercard DSTWO website...

you need to set up the DSTWO... I'm not sure how exactly you do that... What?! You recommended me a flashcard and you don't know how to use it? I already read the instructions in a guide booklet, same as on the site, but it's very vague. I can't find the OS needed, and when it says, "copy the game files," I have yet to understand how I am to transfer Love Plus from the original cartridge to my new flashcard. If I can't be helped in this, then it was a waste of money for me.

the instructions are vague cause it's that simple, you visit the site they mention download the OS and unzip the OS folders and add the games in the microSD card, here is the OS download page: eng.supercard.sc/manual/dstwo/download.htm

I couldn't find an "OS" but instead an "EOS", is that the same?
Okay, I am putting DSTWO_v1.11_2012_1030_eng on the Microcard, then that into the DSTWO Flashcard, that into the DSi.
Now I am seeing the icon "ALEX RIDER STORMBREAKER THQ." I click on the icon. Upper screen is black, lower screen is just white.
Have I done anything incorrectly so far? Or am I ready for the next step?

I don't own a DSTWO, but I know that it is the best one out there…
The EOS is the same as the OS…
"Unzip and copy the system folder _dstwo to the root of microSD."

I copied instead of unzipped, because my computer kept on perceiving the new files as some sort of threat, deleting them automatically, so I copied, which seemed to work. Now everything is working as it should. Thank you everyone for everything so far, I feel like I'm finally back on track! ;D I'm ready to move on to the next important step, which I assume is copying the LovePlus game from the original cartridge to my new flashcard? How do I do that? Or is there something I need to do before that?

Oh dear, now I feel like buying the original cartridge was kinda a waste. I guess I could still use it should I ever want to learn Japanese, that works.
I'm looking for the rom now ("loveplus" "rom" "256 MB", got it), but while I'm looking, if anyone already has a link, just so I don't get a false rom and virus, I'd like that.
