How come when I invite Rinko to a date, there are places that are greyed out and we can't go to?
I've unlocked all of the locations, so I am wondering why I can't visit them on a date.

Locations have to be at least Lv.1

There are places where you can't go at night, also you can't choose restaurants as date spots.

Thanks a lot! Now I got it. I'll level the locations in Skip Mode.

I'm leveling up all of the locations to level 1, but I notice the Sports Center doesn't have an experience bar. I even tried going there in skip mode, but it doesn't level-up when you visit it.
Is there a way to level up locations that don't have an experience bar so that I can visit them on dates?

Those places aren't really... how should I say this... date friendly, so there are places like that which you can't go to. They are like restaurants, you can't choose them at all, but you won't go in there either for a date.
Also there are locations which unlock other locations, is is even better if you can level them to max, which is lvl 3.

I've always wondered why can't you take your girl to a date at the Skating Ring. I mean, don't you take Manaka there during the first part of the game?

That's a good question, actually. I mean, I could understand why a gym wouldn't be a good place for a date spot, but they could have at least let you choose a certain activity in an area for a date.

I would also like to know the why in that...
Maybe in NLP it will be like that?

I've noticed that most places in the New Station location like the arcade, the CD store and the electronic stores don't have any levels. What are they there for?
I can see that a CD is on sale...can I purchase one as a gift for Rinko around a holiday or something? I'm just wondering why place stores on the map that you can never visit.

I've been unlocking items, but I'm wondering what the "portable game" is. Is it a DS Lite or something like that? I'm going to try for that next, but I was just wondering.

I think it's something close to the DS out of good faith. Couldn't imagine a person playing DS would want to be reminded of PSP. Good luck going to electronic shop 50 times.

Thanks, my charm has been taking a beating, though LOL.
For some reason, I picture the portable game looking like a Sega Game Gear. I don't know why...
