EDIT: According to a user from GBATemp, LovePlus+ will only brick your Flash card if you are using an Acekard 2i with a MicroSDHC not formatted to FAT16 on a DSi. I guess I was just unlucky enough to meet all the requirements.
EDIT2: Both the flash card AND the AKAIO menu got an update since I last checked. Trying with the latest equipment, I loaded the Love Plus + game again (Not with a DSi, though, that's what made it bricked before.) and got a new message:
"FAT ERROR"
My Acekard then bricked. Considering this didn't happen on the DSL before, this is much, MUCH worse. I recommend that anyone with an Acekard using a MicroSDHC should stay away from Love Plus +. Until a solution is found, please stick to Love Plus.

Before you make any assumptions that this may have just been a coincidence, please read this.
So, I decided that even though I barely know a lick of Japanese probably wouldn't play it afterwards, I thought I would give LovePlus+ a quick spin. My plan was to test it out, and if it doesn't work, patch it, because I wanted to see if "Bypass Anti-Piracy" worked on it. Here is the result:
So, I loaded it on my trusty Acekard 2i and opened it up. "Loading...System File Is Missing" No big deal, it does that in LovePlus, too, just have to disable "Bypass Anti-Piracy". Opened it up again, same result.
But here's the best part:
Upon restarting, my Acekard icon was no longer on my DSi menu! After about an hour of dirt cleaning, paper inserting, and plenty of profanities, I realized that there was only one explanation: My Acekard was bricked.
At first I shrugged it off as a coincidence and started comparing prices for a new Acekard. (So I can unbrick the first one and keep it, just in case one of them bricks again) After doing some research, however, people's Acekards were bricking over the same game, with the same symptoms, in the same way. It's official: LovePlus+ has a third and more deadly layer of anti-piracy.
From what I've researched about the issue, this is what happens:
If LovePlus+'s anti-piracy measure kicks in, Acekards will still work normal until they are exited, in which case the card will no longer be able to be used.
Using card on DSi: "There is nothing inserted in the slot."
DS and DSL: Freezes upon detecting the card.
3DS: Untested, but I'm guessing the same thing would happen with the DSi. (Anyone brave enough to test? ;D )
Patched versions of the game don't seem to be safe either, as some have reported that while the patch has the game working perfectly fine, exiting will still show the same results as unpatched.
Thankfully, according to some of the users, the normal unbricking procedure works fine, (Using DSL updater on second flash card to update bricked card) so that's good to know. Still, I'm impressed by how deadly this game can be to a flashcard. UPDATE: I just unbricked my Plus+ bricked Acekard with the normal method. I even bricked it a SECOND time to make sure it worked.
tl;dr If you plan to play LovePlus+ on an Acekard, I would recommend having a DS/DS Lite and a second flash card handy.
This may, however, just happen sometimes. Can anyone confirm LovePlus+ working fine on Acekard 2i or 2.1? Older versions of Acekard may be immune, but I know of nobody who has tested it.
As of now, there seems to be no way to play the game under these specific circumstances besides formatting the SD to FAT16. However, I will NOT accept this as a "fix", considering this kind of format has VERY low storage space. Check back for updates!
