Oh no! I have a trip with RInko that day! Should I change the trip to next week? But next week my winter vacation will end (real life), I don't know if I have time to play. So maybe I should use time-traveling. One thing. If I use time-traveling like this: It's still noon and backup my save, then travel to key times, save then change clock of the DS back but not the game (the clock in the game can be change anytime), go to midnight (change in-game clock), doing event at that time, then save. Then if there aren't any event left, wait 'till next day, then change the clock in the game to match the DS, do the event, then finish (because trip only takes 2 days). Any recommendation? And I don't know if: It's noon, travel to key times, do event, save, go to midnight, do event, save then change the clock in game to match the DS clock, then will I loss the data before that? I mean when I change back from midnight to real time. Terribly sorry for too much questions. I'm very sorry for troubling you guys

The new year event isn't such a big deal, is just something to watch.
However if you don't want to miss it, it might be good to push it back.
Now as far as time travel goes, if you mess with the ds time IT WILL AFFECT THE GAME TIME.
So let's say that is noon, then you move to see key events.
If you turn the clock back to noon again, you will have a GF that isn't happy about it and lose events.
They key is to go ahead but not turn the time backwards.
In your case however, depending on how much time you have, just backup your save data and move ahead with time.
Like keep changing the clock for the key events.
This way you should be done with the event in a few hours, a lot shorter than 2 days.
Although this does somewhat ruin game experience, so I try to not use it often, because over using it will make the game boring.
Seriously, if you see everything at once, you don't have much to wait forward to, so use it with moderation.
Is really good only for people that don't have much time on their hands.

Thank you so much. Like you said, New Year isn't such a big deal, so maybe I can skip it and go to my trip. Does Japanese have Lunar New Year like Chinese and Vietnamese? If yes, maybe I will focus in that event, not this New Year. And is January in Spring? Or still winter?

is Summer until august, after that think of the season changing every 3 months, although the 3rd one seems to be a transition month, is still regarded as the last thing. So since september would be fall, technically that would make January winter.
